About Directorate of Animal Resources Development (ARDD), Tripura

Directorate of Animal Resources Development Tripura Tripura Government का एक महत्वपूर्ण विभाग है, जो राज्य में livestock, poultry development और animal healthcare सेवाओं के लिए कार्य करता है। Tripura North East India का एक landlocked state है और Seven Sister States का हिस्सा है। राज्य की geographical conditions, hilly terrain और heavy rainfall के कारण यहां के लोगों की livelihood काफी हद तक Animal Husbandry activities पर निर्भर करती है।

History of ARDD Tripura

स्वतंत्रता से पहले Tripura में केवल एक Veterinary Dispensary Agartala में मौजूद थी, जहां मुख्य रूप से Maharaja of Tripura के animals का treatment किया जाता था। बाद में Dharmanagar और Kailashahar में दो और dispensaries स्थापित की गईं।

1951 के दौरान First Five Year Plan में 7 additional dispensaries खोली गईं। शुरुआत में Animal Husbandry Department, Agriculture Department के अंतर्गत कार्य करता था। बाद में 1956-61 के दौरान इसे Tripura Territorial Council (TTC) को सौंपा गया।

1965-66 में Department को फिर से Tripura Administration के अधीन लाया गया और नवंबर 1969 में इसे स्वतंत्र विभाग का दर्जा देकर Directorate of Animal Husbandry नाम दिया गया। वर्ष 1993 में इसका नाम बदलकर Directorate of Animal Resources Development (ARDD) रखा गया।

Role and Responsibilities of ARDD

ARDD Department राज्य में livestock और poultry sector के विकास के लिए कार्य करता है। विभाग की मुख्य जिम्मेदारियां निम्नलिखित हैं:

• Milk, Meat एवं Egg production बढ़ाना
• Animal healthcare एवं disease prevention
• Veterinary hospitals एवं dispensaries का संचालन
• Artificial insemination services
• Livestock farmers को training एवं technical support
• Rural livelihood एवं self-employment को बढ़ावा देना
• Vaccination एवं awareness camps आयोजित करना
